It's snowing outside but I am still on the bike

Today is my day off from training. The first 2 days were good, a learning experience but good. I actually enjoyed riding my road bike on the trainer. When I got hot I had a fan to turn on to help cool me down. I had good movies to watch and the dogs were entertained.

The snow was very light, it didn't hamper my vision and it wasn't so hard that my glasses got wet. It took 30 minutes to make the 5 miles to the hospital and work. I worry about the moose, I have had several closed encounters of the moose type and just want to be able to avoid them if I can.

Food wise today I had some scrambled eggs, two small sausage links and a piece of French toast for breakfast. I ate at the hospital after I pedaled in from home. At lunch I had some homemade spaghetti, made with buffalo meat and fire roasted tomatoe sauce and whole wheat noodles. Dinner was a small piec of Cod quick cooked in a small amout of Olive oil and lime juice. I also had s small sweet potatoe and 5 Brussel sprouts. Lots of water, 1 Alaskan Amber beer and more water. Desert was a WeightWatchers chocolate cake snack (100 calories) and more water. I walked about 2 miles at work and took the stairs for most of my trips to the patient floors. My weight has stayed the same for the past two months so I must be doing something right.

I will be on the trainer after I pedal home from work tomorrow. The trip home today in heavier snow took almost 45 minutes. It takes more energy to pedal in just a small amount of snow, I had forgotten that detail. Anyhow it was a good ride and I am looking forward to the pedal to and from tomorrow.
